Dental Cleanings are recommended yearly for all pets and as often as 6 months for some pets. Our dental trophy includes tooth scaling (cleaning) and polishing. There are additional charges for any necessary dental work and medications. Extractions are $10 - $100 per tooth, depending on the difficulty involved in its removal. We can only pull teeth that are loose and ready to come out because we do not have dental x-rays Medications may be prescribed for any present infection or for pets that have had any extractions. Bloodwork is recommended for all pets and comprehensive bloodwork with cbc is required for pets over 7 years of age. It is required for pets over 7 years of age to come in for a general physical exam and to have comprehensive bloodwork with cbc performed prior to scheduling dental cleaning appointment. If you have had bloodwork preformed for your pet an exam is still required and you must provide a copy of the bloodwork it needs to be within 30 days of the dental appointment. Antibiotics and pain medications are required for all pets that receive extractions.

***Proof of Rabies required for all surgical patients. Please be ready to provide your pets Rabies Certificate. You are welcome to bring the certificate with you at check in or email it to us before your pets appointment. We do not accept the rabies tag, invoices, or reminders as proof of rabies as it does not have the necessary information needed.

If your pet is nervous, anxious, or aggressive please bring your pet in for a general physical exam during our walk in clinic hours for our doctor to determine which calming medications are necessary before surgical visits to ensure your pet has the best possible experience. If your pet is fractious or difficult at the time of the appointment you will either be asked to stay until the pet is ready for surgery or you will need to reschedule and the pet will be put on calming medications.

For your pet’s safety, we highly recommend bloodwork with any surgery or dental procedure. Bloodwork allows us to screen your pet’s organ function to help ensure that your pet can safely make it through anesthesia. Pets with liver or kidney conditions need special considerations before anesthesia. Senior pets (any pet over the age of 7yrs), purebreds (prone to genetic disorders, like clotting issues, etc), or any pet that has any medical considerations, bloodwork is always strongly recommended or in some cases may be required. It is an option to decline bloodwork, but owner will assume any and all risks by declining the bloodwork.

All surgery patients are released with specific instructions for the pets post surgical care. Complications are rare, if these post surgical directions are followed.

Antibiotics and pain medications are required for all pets that receive extractions.
